Happy Independence Day Brethren!
As we enter July, let us make mindful decisions to spend time with friends, family, and loved ones. June was wrought with loss for many lodge members who lost loved ones – don’t take your time on this earth for granted. Reach out, talk to those you haven’t heard from, tell people you love them, and hold your family tight.
The lodge is dark for the summer, but not inactive. We have a blood drive organized by Brother Ken Grundy and the Red Cross on 7/5, a masonic supper club on 7/7 and rehearsals on our regular meeting nights for those looking to learn a new role within the lodge.
I’d like to also invite all of you interested (especially those with kids) to join me and my family at Six Flags on Friday, July 14th for a casual day at the park. No reservations needed, just let me know if you’re coming and we can all meet up there. Bring your kids, grandkids, their friends, your spouses, etc for a relaxing day at the amusement park. Tickets online ahead of time start at $38/person with discounts for dining and parking if you bundle them.
We have three new EA’s that are working on their proficiencies already, so be prepared as we may have catechisms at our August 24th meeting and perhaps some FC degrees!
As for bringing change to our lodge…. You did it. We collected $126.62 in loose change that will go to the general fund. On top of that, those who provided meat, buns, toppings, sides, and desserts for the open house on June 29th all donated their purchases, leaving the full cash donation for the benefit of the lodge, which was $117.
