Brethren,

I have been the WM for just over a month and it has been a humbling, learning experience already.

At the February 26th meeting we initiated our youngest EA at just 18 years old! It was a very good degree and your lodge did some excellent work. We had a great crowd with a number of guests including Franco’s father Juan and our Deputy Grand Master Brad Andrukitis. Congratulations to Franco and the degree team!

I was thinking about some brothers that were active when I first got started in Masonry and thought about how hard it would be if I had not attended lodge for months, years or maybe decades. Would there be anyone there I know? Would they all be jerks? Would they judge me for not being an active member? The answers are maybe, no and no. I would be welcomed and accepted as a brother and member of the fraternity as I should be.

If any of these thoughts have crossed your mind, call me. Let’s talk. Then you will know someone at the lodge who will welcome you as an old friend. You will possibly rekindle some friendships and you will certainly make new ones.

Our lodge is a special place because of you.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Ken Grundy
Worshipful Master
