Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland

Pentalpha Lodge No. 194

A Masonic lodge chartered under the Grand Lodge of Maryland, meeting in Germantown since MDCCCXCIII.

Freemasonry is dedicated to improvement in character, fraternity, and service. We welcome visiting brethren and sincere enquiries from prospective members.

About the fraternity

About the fraternity

A brief history.

Freemasonry traces its roots to the Middle Ages. From associations of stone masons who built cathedrals, castles, and monasteries, the fraternity emerged and later welcomed accepted members beyond the operative craft.

The Masonic fraternity has a long tradition of charitable service. Pentalpha supports relief, fellowship, and local civic life in and around Montgomery County.

"The internal, not the external, qualifications of a man are what Masonry regards."

Principles

Brotherhood, relief, truth.

The principal tenets of our profession.

I.

Brotherhood

A society of friends who show up for one another when it matters: quietly, faithfully, and without condition.

II.

Relief

Caring for those in need: our brothers, their families, and the wider communities we are privileged to serve.

III.

Truth

Honesty in conduct and word, the straight line we measure ourselves against year after year.
